Eligibility Criteria

To apply, you must have:

• A Master’s degree, BS (4 years), or higher qualification in the relevant subject.

• At least a second division in your academic record.

• Strong academic performance, as most of the merit is calculated from qualifications.

• For Graduate Colleges (BS Colleges):

  • Preferred: MS / M.Phil / Ph.D

  • If not available: M.A / M.Sc may be considered

• For Other Colleges (including Community Colleges):

  •  BS (FYDP) with at least 2nd Division

  • No 3rd Division allowed in the entire academic career (disqualification if found).

CTI Seats Announcement

To address the shortage of teaching staff in government colleges across Punjab, the Higher Education Department has approved the recruitment of 8,084 College Teaching Interns (CTIs) for the academic session 2025–2026. This includes a 5% quota for minorities, 3% for persons with disabilities, and 0.5% for the transgender community. The appointments will be made from 1st October 2025, lasting seven months for Intermediate colleges (till 30th April 2026) and ten months for BS colleges (till 31st July 2026), or until regular staff is appointed, whichever comes first. This initiative aims to ensure that students across Punjab continue to receive quality education without interruption.
